Following our application under the community right to buy legislation, the Scottish Govt has declared a moratorium on the sale of land at the East Dock. We have four weeks to lobby our elected representatives to ensure our application is approved. This would mean that should Forth Ports try and sell the land we get the first refusal.We also intend to use the newer legislation which could force Forth Ports to sell us the derelict land as soon as we’re ready to buy it, but as this has never been used before we recognise it could be a challenge!
